Dr. Fulton’s Story
Dr. Richard Fulton, MD, a retired diagnostic radiologist and prolific inventor with several medical device patents to his name, has experienced tightness and pain in his jaw for as long as he can remember. One day, as a patient sitting in his dentist’s chair, Dr. Fulton had a hard time keeping his mouth open due to the tightness in his jaw. With a fatigued and hurting jaw, and a dentist who was having trouble finishing the dental work, Dr. Fulton had the idea to simply hook his index finger over his lower front teeth and then pull down, instantly relieving the tension and tightness in his jaw muscles. This experience gave Dr. Fulton the vision for Relēver, a portable hand-held device that he could use anytime, anywhere to help stretch his jaw muscles to release tension, and, more importantly, relieve his pain.
